What personal information we collect

We collect information through 3 different methods. They are a) the Podcast Gumbo Newsletter Contact Form via Mailchimp, b) Google Analytics via WordPress plugin, and c) Airtable forms related to the Podcast Riddle Challenge.

The Podcast Gumbo Newsletter Contact form uses Mailchimp’s services. It does not require your first name. It only requires an email address via a single opt-in signup. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Viewing pages on the website is tracked via Google Analytics. When you visit the website, the server logs your IP address (from which we can infer your location), information about your browser and operating system, and a record of which pages you visited, when, and for how long.

The submission forms related to the Podcast Riddle Challenge contest are created in Airtable with all the data stored in Airtable. The data is stored so that we (Podcast Gumbo, Hurt Your Brain, Podcast Delivery) can determine the winner of the contest. Data is also used to send alerts if you opt-in to receive alerts.

If you would like your information to be erased, please contact us and we will delete your data. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on the site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited the other website. Our site also include social media buttons and links, which can send personal information to the sites in question if you click or tap them.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We do not share or sell your data with any 3rd party service.
